Founded by artist and designer Avery Zapata, Zapata House is a Texas fashion house producing bespoke footwear, demi-couture apparel, and luxury goods.

Made to order. Boots are hand-painted, patterns are drafted and garments are cut for each piece, working efficiently and deliberately to bring a shared vision from the mind to the body.

Avery is a San Antonio native, trained at FIDM in Los Angeles and sharpened abroad with a post-grad stint in London. Avery opened the Zapata House retail store in San Antonio for four years, earning Texas Fashion Week’s 2023 Fashion Retailer of the Year, before closing it and making the move to Dallas.

Sourcing trips to London continue yearly, hunting textiles for upcoming collections. From custom bridal and eveningwear to repairs and full resoling alongside local cobblers, each commission is handmade in studio. No mass production, no shortcuts.
